Inverted Jellyfish

This painting is a color study focusing on inverted colors. I wanted to take an image, invert it, and then try to paint that image by following that color palette so that if I were to invert it again, it would look close to the original. I found this photo of a jellyfish that I felt would be interesting and liked the color contrast of the blues and yellows. The first image is of the actual painting, and the second is an edited inverted version, to compare what it “should” look like.
